Wendroff & Associates is one of ten businesses recognized as “Best Places to Work 2022” in Arlington Magazine’s annual survey and awards program dedicated to identifying and recognizing the best employers in Arlington, McLean, and Falls Church.
To be considered for the Best Places awards program, organizations had to have an office in the eligible areas, at least 15 employees, and be in business for a minimum of one year. For-profit, non-profit, and public sector organizations that meet the criteria were eligible to participate.
Arlington Magazine’s Best Places to Work two-part process included evaluating each nominated company’s workplace policies, practices, and demographics (25% of the total evaluation). The second part was an employee survey to measure overall employee experience (75% of the total evaluation).
The combined scores determined the top companies and the final ranking. Best Companies Group runs the annual survey, analyzes the data, and leverages its expertise to determine the final Best Places to Work rankings.
“Arlington, McLean and Falls Church are fortunate to have many outstanding organizations and a talented workforce,” says Greg Hamilton, President and Publisher of Arlington Magazine. “The organizations on this list have worked hard to implement policies and create cultures that make them attractive to their employees and sought-after places to work.”
Wendroff & Associates will be recognized in Arlington Magazine’s November/December 2022 issue and is currently profiled online at ArlingtonMagazine.com (see excerpt below).

What’s to love: A company culture built on diversity—and free lunch!
Diversity isn’t merely a buzzword at this veteran-owned certified public accounting firm. Its employees represent nine different countries, and half are minority women.
Wendroff recently participated in the Young Leaders of the Americas Initiative, a U.S. State Department program that invites entrepreneurs from Latin America, the Caribbean and Canada to contribute their skills to U.S.-based businesses. Alfonso Aguilera, a 27-year-old entrepreneur from Argentina, spent a month at the firm after creating an app that automates accounting processes for people who are self-employed.
The company fosters a supportive work environment with an emphasis on hands-on training. Each new employee is assigned a mentor, and seasoned staff members teach essential accounting skills during weekly lunch-and-learn sessions.
Other thoughtful perks include free lunch three days a week during tax season and four-day workweeks during the summer.
