With the presence of smart phones, tablets and cloud computing, QuickBooks Online looks to be the ‘foreseeable future’ accounting solution for a Not for Profit. Many Not for Profits have QuickBooks desktop and do not even know QuickBooks Online is available and an excellent option. It has been out for more than 10 years, and is getting better every day. You can do almost everything in QuickBooks Online that you can in do in QuickBooks Desktop, plus more.

Brian J. Wendroff is the Managing Partner for Wendroff & Associates, CPA. After starting his accounting career as an Accountant for Halt, Buzas & Powell, he founded Wendroff & Associates in 2006 with the founding principle of exceeding expectations as a clients’ most trusted advisor. The firm has grown every year since it began. Brian is the firm’s small business and not for profit specialist, working closely with entrepreneurs to assist them in developing strategic budgets and forecasts to grow their organizations. Brian was a former accountant at the International Accounting Standards Board and is a Service Disabled Army Veteran. He has a BS in Accounting from George Mason University and is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Virginia Society of Certified Public Accountants. He is currently the Chair of the Not for Profit Committee for the Northern Chapter of the Virginia Society of CPAs, a member of Intuit’s QuickBooks Online Advisory Board and has been quoted in the Wall Street Journal, Kiplinger’s Retirement Report and CPATrendlines.com.
