Wendroff & Associates, CPA offers an initial internship opportunity to qualified students who would like experience working in a full-service accounting firm. Internships are open to students who have strong academic credentials and a desire to work in public accounting.
The internship would be part time, approximately 20 hours a week, and duties include Small Business Accounting using QuickBooks Online and Desktop, Tax Code Research using Checkpoint, The VA Dept of Taxation, the IRS Practitioner’s Hotline and other resources, assisting staff with tax and materials preparation, basic tax preparation and basic office support. Interns will also be invited to participate in other WendroffCPA business functions, such as our weekly training meetings, Nonprofit Committee Meetings, and client meetings.
This internship is best suited for seniors, first and second year master’s students majoring in accounting or a related field looking for an initial, part-time internship at a boutique public CPA firm. Applicants will be directly involved in public accounting activities including tax research, preparation, write-up and more. This is a Paid internship.
